Umpqua Valley Financial LLC is an accounting and advisory firm based in Roseburg, Oregon. We provide tax preparation, accounting, financial planning, municipal auditing, and advisory services to individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and public entities throughout the state.

Governmental accounting and auditing are central to our practice. Our firm performs approximately 80 municipal audits, serving Oregon school districts, cities, special districts, and other public organizations.
Our governmental audit team brings experience in municipal audits, Single Audits, Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) reporting, federal grant compliance, and the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA). We also assist clients with questions involving financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
We recognize that public entities are accountable to the communities they serve. Our approach emphasizes thorough planning, timely communication, and clear reporting to help management and governing bodies fulfill their financial oversight responsibilities.

Our History and Leadership
A new chapter.
In 2024, as Steve prepared for retirement, Ashraf Lakhani Farishta purchased the firm and became its owner. This transition began a new chapter while carrying forward the firm’s commitment to personal service and long-term client relationships.
Under Ashraf’s leadership, Umpqua Valley Financial LLC continues to build on that foundation, with an emphasis on responsive service, efficient processes, and the evolving needs of our clients.
